Cornish Currents

Cornish Currents is a collaborative project with a group of A Level Art students from North Devon. We travelled to Tintagel where we coated canvas with cyanotype solution, before exposing it along the shoreline. The currents moved the fabric within the water, allowing light to reflect and refract creating patterns and textures that revealed impressions of the rolling tide. The dried cyanotype sits, looking back out to sea from the headland above the beach. Watching itself transform as time passes. We sit beside this canvas character and reflect on our own personal relationships with the ocean.
