Within the black void of a darkened space, a ray of light pierces through the never-ending monotone atmosphere. Dancing through the trees beyond the window, light lands on a near wall, flickering like smoke from a newly dead flame. Constantly moving in a complex dance over and around objects in its way to create web-like formations. These factors form varying answers to the equation of how we perceive an object or situation through the medium of light. This honest and revealing medium, manipulates our view, which we believe at its mercy. Dancing across the wall a cloud blocks the sun causing the light to slowly fades into nothingness. Waiting for another spontaneous moment to reveal a new world within our reality, once again. A new world that will help to shape our own personal one. The progression of light on the wall throughout the day reveals a sense of atmosphere, a sense of visualising the invisible. This idea is at the heart of all my artworks. The idea that new worlds can be revealed to create new realities all through the medium of light.
